After year of collecting different programs, the only one that was flagged as malicious was a dvd decrypted executable. $150 for 5 devices for life? That’s comparatively paid for in 2 years even the 80% off for the first year promos I see for the other AV solutions. I went ahead and bought the lifetime package. Does anyone here have any experience with PC Matic before I dump $150? The price is right and I don’t want to get into an annual renewal thing. I saw that you can manually override false positives, so that looks good to me. I consider myself a networking expert (worked in the industry for >30 years), and I like they way PC Matic operates on whitelist only access. That sure beats anything between $19-$50 per year per device. They have a plan for five devices for $150 for lifetime updates.

I’m not concerned with my daughter’s MacBook, nor am I concerned with my Raspberry Pi devices, but I do have five Windows 10 machines, and I require an AV solution for them. I purchased a Netgear C7100V gateway right after signing up with them in order to avoid their monthly fee. I have their “Triple Play” package (Internet, TV, and voice) and I refuse to pay $10 a month. The only way they will provide “network security” is if you pay them $10 a month for one of their “X1” gateways. u/RoweDent created this awesome resource on network theoryĪbout a week ago I got an email from Comcast/Xfinity telling me that they were no longer going to provide free Norton Internet Security as of December 31, 2020. u/tht1kidd_ has created a suggestion post regarding information everyone needs to provide when asking a question about their network There have been some excellent guides written in this sub, and we're always looking for more!
